note : *This will be the fifth and final part of talking about the different courts in the UK .I didn’t want to cram all of this into one post , so i decided i would split it into different part . This will help me to get a better understanding of all the courts , rather then me getting brief knowledge about each court .*

Summary of the Previous Blog on the Judicial System in the United Kingdom

On the the last blog i looked at the court of appeal . The court of appeal is the second-highest court in the legal hierarchical system . It is split into 2 division : the Civil division and the Criminal division which each division handles a variety of cases . This court consists of one type of judge which is based on your gender you could be called either lords justices of appeal or lady justice of appeal . This court deal with appeals made by lower court (e.g high court , crown court and certain tribunals) . Appeals are typically heard by a panel of three judges which in more complex case may be heard by a larger panel . However with this court being the key avenue for appeal they can still further appeal with the supreme court .

Supreme court

The Supreme court is the highest court in the United kingdom and wales , it serves as the final court of appeal in all civil and criminal cases . The court is composed of a panel of justices , typically numbering 12 , who are appointed by the monarch on the advice of the prime minister . This court hears the appeals on points of law of the greatest public importance , including cases involving constitutional issues , human rights and significant legal principles . This court decisions set legal precedents that must be followed by lower courts , contributing to the development and clarification of the law . Not to be forgot that the Supreme court plays a crucial role in upholding the rule of law and ensuring the accountability of government actions .

That is it for all the courts in the UK , i will be doing the last blog on this just to summarize the whole court system in general . I will summarize it in a more simplistic manner .
